Video Production (Musicians)
Band Promos
Local bands and solo musicians, regardless of style, all have one thing in common: the need to promote themselves in a professional manner, in order to get more paying gigs. Lakeltico Media offers musicians of all genres and levels top quality promotional videos that help you get noticed.
In today’s economy, sounding great is not the only factor. The more polished and professional you and your marketing package are, the more of an advantage you have. And although the general public now accepts videos shot on a smart phone and immediately posted to the internet as being “good,” your professional image deserves something much better: professional video production - but at affordable prices.
We offer the following promo packages to help you get your name out there and get more gigs.
Economy Package
We digitally film your band at your gig (30 minutes filming), using 1 professional grade, broadcast quality Panasonic camera. Tripod and/or mobile options are available. The sound is captured directly from the stereo onboard mics.
We edit the footage into a montage-style piece (short sections or highlights from your performance), 3 to 4 minutes in length. All footage is colour corrected and the audio is digitally enhanced, and then brought up to broadcast specs.
We add graphics (whatever information you want seen on screen).
We encode your band promo for the web at high quality (mpg2, up-rezzed to 720p looks best on YouTube) -- or whatever format you prefer. The files can be delivered via the web or on DVD.

Standard Package
We digitally film your band at your gig (up to 1 hour filming), using 2 professional grade, broadcast quality Panasonic cameras and 2 camera operators. Tripod and/or mobile options are available. The sound is captured directly from the stereo onboard mics.
We edit the footage into a montage-style piece (short sections or highlights from your performance) 3 to 4 minutes in length. We'll also edit 2 complete pieces from the set for you to use on YouTube or your favourite social media site. All footage is colour corrected and the audio is digitally enhanced, and then brought up to broadcast specs.
Finally, we add graphics/titles (whatever information you want seen on screen) for both the promo and the 2 complete songs, which can be used as promos themselves.
Your band promo and 2 songs are put onto a playable DVD for you and your friends to enjoy. We'll also put the web ready, uploadable files onto a separate disc. We recommend that the web-ready files for YouTube be mpg2, up-rezed to 720p, which can be embedded on any website.
As an add-on option, we can also pull any additional songs from your show and encode separately for YouTube, etc. (optional pricing).

Professional Concert Filming (DVD Production for Distribution)
If you need your professional performance produced and mastered for retail distribution, Lakeltico Media can take care of the entire process from filming, all the way through mastering for your replication house. See pricing for more details.
DVD Mastering
Mastering for DVD is not the same as Authoring a DVD. The latter is the process of setting the DVD up for navigation through the creation of interactive menus; the former is preparing the DVD files (which may include the authoring files) for professional distribution.
With the advent of popular software, anyone can learn to author a DVD and then burn it to disc. Burning is referred to as "Duplication" when done so in large numbers. However, the DVD's that are sold in stores are stamped out, using a glass master that has been created from the master files. This process is known as "Replication;" it is this DVD Mastering process that Lakeltico Media does when a client wants to distribute a DVD through wholesale, retail or online.
Mastering involves taking the final edit of a piece (which has already been meticulously processed in terms of the video and audio mix) and encoding it for professional use by a replication house.
Additional services include location sound recording and DVD cover artwork.
