Our Video Equipment
Lakeltico Media uses only commercial-grade, broadcast quality equipment and post-production software. This allows us to produce superior work, which can be seen on our "View Videos" page. Our equipment includes:
2 matched professional grade (broadcast-quality) Panasonic DVX 100A's. Shutter speed, focus, iris and white balance all manually controllable for different lighting situations. Aspect ration options include the older television look (4:3) and the new standard widescreen look (16:9). Frame rates include 60i (very crisp video look) 30p, 24p and 24pa (the most film-like look possible). These cameras are still used in the field by local TV news stations around the country.
External sound recording system including Rode hypercardioid boom mic/pole, Azden UHF wireless mic/transmitter/receiver, Behringer Euromixer, Tascam digital field recorder (not to mention the onboard stereo camera microphones).
Interior light rig including 3x Smith Victor studio lamps (2400 watts total) and 1 large soft box.
5-way light reflector/diffuser.
Studio-based Green Screen and White Screen stages available with additional lighting.
Our Digital Filming Style
Regardless of the particular video production, Lakeltico Media strives to give the client what they want yet does have a unique style that tends to favour the following elements.
good frame composition over non-purposeful shooting
movement within the frame when possible to keep things fluid (unless in direct opposition to the project's intended purpose)
attention to detail and continuity at all times.
Tripods are the preferred norm to ensure steady shots. However, our cameras can easily go "walkabout" and adopt a more documentary/reality show style if requested.
Tony SingingEagle
Tony SingingEagle has been involved in various areas of media production for over 35 years. While still at university, he did part time work in several music studios as a music copyist (back when music scores and all the parts were written out by hand), eventually getting work as a freelance arranger. He has a Bachelor's of Music Degree In Composition, and he also studied studio arranging and film scoring under Rayburn Wright and Manny Albam at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
An accomplished composer/arranger, he has worked with such music greats as Dizzy Gillespie, Gerry Mulligan, Stan Getz, Joe Williams, Gene Bertoncini, David Matthews, Lance Rubin, Anne Bryant, Vincent Dimartino, Allen Vizzutti, Jeff Tyzik, and Eartha Kitt.
Tony gained valuable experience in commercial video production while working at a local television station in Colorado. There, he learned the ropes as camera operator, editor, sound recordist, lighting designer, and just about everything in between. More experience came later in the form of ad agency work, where he was able to begin bridging the gap between his music production and video production skills.
After moving to California in the early 90's, Tony worked for a period of time in the corporate world as an administrative assistant, and then handling the company's corporate videos. After almost 10 years, Tony was delighted to be back in the video production world, doing what he loved most, albeit, in the wrong place. So when the economy began to show signs of a storm looming on the horizon, and the layoffs hit in late 2006, he was quite pleased to be in the first wave. Now it was time to build a new reel and think about starting his own company. He turned to his his twin heritages for inspiration (Native American and Irish) naming it "Lakota-Celtic Complement," which was shortened to "Lakeltico."
In addition to Lakeltico Media, Tony also does Wedding and Event Videography as a separate entity, "Wedding Videography by Tony."
